What the average reward value means, how to keep spending in check, and where to get support.

What the average reward value means

Every crate open and every game round is random. Over a large number of opens, the rewards from crates are worth about 90% of the credits spent on them. The other 10% is the platform margin, and it applies to every open. A single session can land far above or far below that number; the more you open, the closer you get to it. No strategy changes it.

Double up and Press Your Luck do not raise the average reward value. They raise the swings. A ladder rung is a 47.5% chance, not a 50/50.

Cashback returns part of what you have already spent; it never makes spending pay. Do not spend more to reach a cashback threshold.

Spend within limits

  • Decide what you can afford to spend before you start, and treat it as the price of the entertainment.
  • Never spend money you need for something else, and never spend borrowed money.
  • Do not chase a bad run. A bigger crate does not bring back what an earlier one did not return.
  • Take breaks. Set a time limit as well as a spending limit.
  • Do not open crates while drunk, high, or upset.

Warning signs

Any of these is worth taking seriously:

  • Spending more, or for longer, than you planned to.
  • Opening crates to make back what earlier opens cost you.
  • Hiding how much you spend from people close to you.
  • Borrowing, selling things, or using money meant for bills.
  • Feeling anxious, restless or low when you are not opening crates.
  • Time on the site getting in the way of work, study, sleep or relationships.

If you recognise yourself here, stop and talk to one of the services below. They are free, confidential, and independent of us.

Taking a break or closing your account

Self-imposed spending limits, cooldowns and account closure are not yet buttons in your account. Until they are, write to [email protected] and ask. We will lock the account for the period you name, we will not lift it early however you ask, and we will stop sending you offers. A permanent closure is permanent.

Nobody under 18 may use the site. If you believe a minor is using an account, tell us at the same address and we will close it.

If spending stops feeling fun

These services support anyone whose spending on chance-based products has become a problem:
